Our Nest ring was the starting point for this version containing gems which correspond to each family member’s eye color: cognac diamonds (hazel) and Montana sapphires (blue).
A returning client- an aborist- was looking for a pair of everyday earrings that would reflect the couple’s love of nature and hiking. We created these platinum beech leaf studs with little diamonds for a sweet and special anniversary gift.
The finished piece adds green garnets, called tsavorites, and sparkling white diamonds, to accent and enhance the quiet beauty of the opals. White gold provides a warm-neutral backdrop.
These loose opals were purchased on a family trip to Australia years ago, waiting for the right time (and inspiration) to be set.
The winning sketch allowed the opals to form a completely different shape when stacked together.

The one gem she did like was this red beauty, so we made it the centerpiece of a custom two-tone GEO necklace and used the gold from her other pieces for the links.
